Winter Training

Our club season here at KVA is just around the corner, and we are anxious to get started with the players that have joined us for the 2017-2018 season. We do realize, though, that cub volleyball is not an option for all of the players in our programs. For those players not playing club, we do our best to provide some “non-club” training opportunities during the winter and spring. Three of these programs will be starting in early December. Registration will open soon, and will be available on our website’s registration page. If you have already set up an account in our registration program, just log in, and you should see any programs that are available for your daughter(s). If you have not, then click on the registration link and just follow the directions.

The Power League Winter Training Program is for players in 4th through 6th grades, (2nd & 3rd graders, watch for an announcement of a Christmas Camp during the Holiday break). The cost for the program will be $155.

This program will focus on personal skill development, with some individual and team competitions included. There will be no “team” assignments or formal competitions. Coaching will be done by members of the KVA staff.

The Junior High Winter Training Program is designed to fill the long break between volleyball seasons. It is open to all players currently in 7th & 8th grades, as well as 6th graders with KVA Power League or similar experience. (6th grade beginners should register for the Power League Winter Training Program, above.)

This program will include instruction, practice, and various forms of competition. Coaching will be done by KVA staff members. Players will be taught proper fundamentals for the basic skills of volleyball, then execute single and multi player drills to reinforce those fundamentals. They will also be taught team concepts in serve receive, offense, and defense. The last part of each session will be spent in individual and team competition.

The High school Winter Training Program for players currently in grades 9 – 11 will follow the same format and schedule as the Junior High program.

KVA has been in the volleyball training business for almost 20 years, and we have helped train thousands of players in the Katy  area, as well as other nearby cities and communities. We have a great coaching staff, and now have former players the have been trained in our program and are coming back to be part of our staff as adults. We continually work at improving our programs, from the Junior Training Program to the Club program. We look forward to seeing you (and your daughter) in the gym sometime soon!
