Katy Volleyball Academy—previously Katy Juniors—was established in 1998 by Jimmy and Tawanna Botter. It has become known for its competitive club program, featuring prices that are a fraction of what other clubs in the area charge.
We believe KVA provides the best return for the dollars you spend on a club season. And we promise not to make you commit to us the day of tryouts!

Elite Training: Learn from experienced coaches who have played and coached at high levels.
Value: Nearly all club programs in the Houston area start at 5k and go up from there. At KVA, we rent space in the Faith West Academy gym and pass along the cost-savings to you.
Family Environment: KVA creates between 11-14 club teams each year. This allows our coaches and directors to get to know each athlete and family individually.

Club Program
Team levels
Each year, KVA creates competitive teams that will compete at the local, regional, and national levels.
Our top teams, known as “Nike” due to our Nike sponsorship, are national teams, traveling out of state to compete for national bids.
Our regional teams, called “Blue”, travel inside the state of Texas to play against some of the best teams in the Lone Star state.
Our local teams, referred to as the “White” team, compete here in the Greater Houston area and develop core volleyball skills to take their game to the next level.
Tryouts
KVA will hold 2025-2026 club tryouts at the end of June and into July. Stay tuned for more information.
Club Season Costs
12u Intro (6 tournaments, 1-2 practices per week) - $1000
12u club (10 tournaments, 2 practices per week) - $2200
13u club (10 tournaments, 2 practices per week) - $2500
14u club (10 tournaments, 2 practices per week) - $2600
14u national/regional (10 tournaments, 2 practices per week) - $2800
15u club (10 tournaments, 2 practices per week) - $2600
15u national/regional (10 tournaments, 2 practices per week) - $3000
16u national/regional (10 tournaments, 2 practices per week) - $3000
17u national/regional (10 tournaments, 2 practices per week) - $3100
